Recent Bill Includes:
July 2005 Scottish Parliament introduces a bill that would require retailers to charge customers 10p for every plastic bag they were supplied with.
Provision for local authorities to gather information from retailers about plastic bag supply and to gather the levy.
Provision for failure by a supplier to charge the levy to be a criminal offence.
Exemptions of certain types of bags.
